Do you ever look at a photo and just instantly know what it felt like to be there?
That's what I'm after.

My Story

Photography was one of my first loves. I did old-school black & white film photography in high school, and if I wasn't out & about with a  camera around my neck, I was in the dark room developing film & prints. I won some local photo contests and considered going to photography school instead of the standard college path, but ended up going to the University of Texas at Austin, meeting my husband, having kids, and building a career in medical research.

Like most people, my phone was my only camera for quite a long time. But a few years ago, I picked up a real camera again, this time as a volunteer photographer for my son's high school marching band. It became an incredible source of joy and fulfillment to take photos again, experimenting with different angles & light to help capture the magic of the kids making music. After countless hours learning the ins & outs of digital cameras and editing (a wildly different world than film!), I decided to take the leap into professional photography. It is an incredible honor to capture the special moments in people's lives, and I love helping preserve memories that you can cherish for a lifetime.

In my free time, you can usually find me spending time with my family, reading, and traveling or going on outdoor adventures whenever I can. In addition to taking pictures of people, I love to take pictures of beautiful places!
